the digital camera dance

I got it, I got it! A sleek Canon PowerShot SD400. Teeny tiny and lovely. This means from here on out the blog is going to be much better illustrated. Not yet though. My laptop is under repair--the hard drive is in but the operating system isn't. Have to wait for the recovery CD to come in the mail.

I've been having a good time in Iowa seeing family and friends. I got to see some high school friends and tomorrow I'm having lunch with my old throwing buddy from Central. I've seen Dad's side of the family and on Sunday I'll see Mom's. And I have another whole week to hang out. The down side is that I'm sick, but that tends to happen after long plane rides, changes in environment and the abrupt end of stressful work. New Year's plans are currently non-existent...might be ringing in the New Year with Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve.

Iowa is foggy. And I have to go to Waterloo to rescue my laptop from the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Whatever--I drive there on auto-pilot anyway. What do I need to see the road for? As long as the deer stay away from Mom's newly repaired car (she hit a deer recently--well, two actually, but the other car couldn't be saved), I'll be ok.
